Individual Therapy
I offer individual therapy to clients of any age experiencing a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, grief/loss, coping challenges and emotional or relational difficulties. In my practice I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches to best serve my clients in achieving their goals. These include Emotion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. My client-centered approach allows each individual to lead the way throughout the therapeutic process, moving at a comfortable pace as they build increased trust and experience safety within the therapeutic relationship.
Parent Support
As parents and caregivers you often carry the burdens of your loved ones and their difficulties, which can leave you feeling exhausted and unsure of what to do next. In my practice I use Emotion Focused Skills Training, an innovative and effective parent and family support program that empowers parents as the primary agents in guiding loved ones of any age through the behavioural, emotional and relational challenges of everyday living and relating. It further supports parents in navigating the challenges their loved ones face when struggling with a mental health issue, or any other special circumstances including social and educational challenges.
Video Therapy Sessions
I understand that for many reasons it can be difficult to attend face-to-face therapy. This may be due to lack of childcare, transportation difficulties, social anxiety, physical location or physical disabilities. To provide flexibility and to better meet my client’s specific needs, I offer the option of online video sessions using a secure encrypted platform as an alternative to meeting face-to-face if requested.
